This is the twelfth review in the series “12 Beers of Christmas” – Everyday for 12 days we will have a review on a Christmas/winter beer.
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a bottle stay filled as Matt got quite sauced.
He drank one beer and then two and then three.
Down they went with the greatest of ease.
Then out came a beer of bitter proportions.
“Heavy Seas Winter Storm” Matt said with distortion.
He poured the 12 ounces into a glass
and then sat back staring a gassed.
There the beer sat with a dark brown colored hue,
But what was the smell and taste of this curious looking brew?
Matt brought it near his nose and up to his mouth
For a taste and smell as the beer went south?
Matt’s taste buds exploded with roasty malts and a bitter finish,
his lips puckered as the swig started to diminish.
The bitterness hit his lips with a smack,
That made him think that this beer was whack!
Matt took a couple more sips, and soon he discovered,
That the beer mellowed out and his taste buds recovered.
Matt started to feel his alcohol level ascent,
So he checks the beer bottle and reads 7%!!
A mighty fine brew this has turned out to be.
Matt is delighted and filled with much glee!
This beer is surprising and really quite good.
It took a little while to realize as some beers should.
This is a brew that you should sip, not ever to chug,
Or you may find yourself passed out on the rug.
Cheers to Heavy Seas and their seasonal treasure.
Grab a few bottles soon to enjoy with much pleasure!
